Clinical Governance

We are committed to providing quality in everything we do. We have subsequently set up our own clinical governance committee to ensure that every practice adheres to strict quality guidelines.

Chaired by Medical Director Dr Mark Greenhalgh, we have recruited clinical governance leads at each of our practices who have local responsibility in ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place.

Meeting on a quarterly basis, the committee covers all areas of the organisation including risk management, professional development, regular clinical protocol reviews and audits and the active encouragement of public involvement through patient participation groups.

We have developed our own in-house performance development tool which audits how each practice is doing and is aligned to benchmark with CQC requirements. We systematically review performance to ensure that high-quality care is provided at all of our practices.

DMC Healthcare also recognises the importance of a well trained workforce and encourages practice development sessions and training programmes, as well as an internal appraisal system to maintain a high quality workforce.
