Service overview

All our community services are consultant-led and consultant-delivered. Our clinical leads are responsible for structuring and delivering safe, effective and patient-centred services to the NHS. They are supported by a multidisciplinary team of consultants, plastic surgeons, GPs, GPwSIs, nurses and healthcare assistants.

We currently provide clinical services on behalf of the NHS to patients across the country.

Dermatology

Our dermatology service is led by consultant dermatologist, Dr Tony Downs, BSc, MBBS, FRCP.

Dr Downs specialises in medical laser procedures, skin cancer diagnosis and management, as well as general dermatology conditions including eczema, allergies, acne and psoriasis.

Gastroenterology

Our gastroenterology service is led by consultant gastroenterologist, Dr John Devlin, MB ChB MD FRCP

Dr Devlin graduated in Glasgow with specialist training undertaken at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Kings College Hospital, St Mark’s Hospital and Hospital Beaujon in Paris. Dr Devlin has extensive research and publication experience and has published over 60 articles on various aspects of gastroenterology.

Minor Surgery

Our minor surgery service is led by plastic surgeon, Ms Beryl De Souza, BSc, MPhil, MBBS, FRCS

Ms De Souza is an honorary clinical lecturer in plastic surgery at Imperial College. She is involved in teaching and training doctors and nurses and runs courses in minor surgery. She has a special interest and expertise in scars and scar revision and in particular keloid scars.

Neurology

Our neurology services are led by consultant neurologist, Dr Bartlomiej Piechowski-Jozwiak, MD FRCP FRCR

Dr Piechowski-Jozwiak is a consultant neurologist at King’s College Hospital, London. His main work is providing stroke services at the hyperacute stroke unit for regional patients. He is a member of the neurovascular multidisciplinary team, managing patients with intracranial/spinal vascular malformations, aneurysms and fistulas. His interests are in cardioembolic, cryptogenic stroke (PFO) and neurovascular ultrasound.

Orthopaedics

Our orthopaedic service is led by consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon, Mr Stephen Corbett, BSc PhD FRCS FRCS(Tr&Orth)
Mr Corbett is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, specialising in Upper Limb Surgery. His specialities include orthopaedic and trauma surgery, shoulder and elbow surgery, arthroscopic procedures and sports injuries.

Rheumatology

Our rheumatology service is led by consultant rheumatologist, Dr Mike Irani, BSc (Hons); LRCP, MRCS, MBBS, FRCP(Lond, Edin, Glasg); FISM, FFSEM

Dr Irani qualified from Kings College Hospital Medical School and was a registrar in Oxford. He was a research fellow at Kings College Hospital, a senior registrar at Westminster & Charing Cross Hospitals and has been a consultant since 1986. Dr Irani has a diploma in sports and exercise medicine, and has been a doctor at six  Olympic and Commonwealth Games. He is an examiner for Royal Colleges (Physicians & Surgeons).

Urology

Our urology service is led by consultant urological surgeon, Mr Stuart Graham, BSc MBBS FRCSEd FRCS (Urol)

Mr Graham has a clinical interest in all urological conditions but specialises in stone disease including diagnosis, treatment, prevention and metabolic testing. He has a special interest in laser prostatectomy (HoLEP) and laser urology (including lasering of bladder cancers).
